Our Mission

We contribute to your success.
Minimum standards are a START not END point.
Gold standard food service is achievable; while basic food safety lowers the risk of sick customers; proactive risk management improves on this baseline examining your facility from back to front, searching for large and small items that are controllable, but often overlooked.
Our goal enables you to focus on customers while trained, competent, supported staff ensures all steps in the food flow meets the highest, not lowest standard. Consistency, reliability, confidence, and ongoing assessments means your facility does not fear outside scrutiny; you welcome it.
About Me
My name is Rab Mahabeer, a public health professional who grew up in Edmonton. I have a Bachelor of Arts (University of Alberta, 1991), Bachelor of Environmental Health (Concordia University of Edmonton, 2003), and a Masters of Science (thesis, Health Promotion, University of Alberta, 2013). I am a Certified Public Health Inspector (Canada) (2002). I have inspected all types of facilities from coffee carts, convenience stores, fast food, full service restaurants, and long-term care facilities. I also work with not-for-profits and local governments. I have participated in emergencies and disasters including the Anzac 2002 fire, Calgary/High River 2013 flood, Fort McMurray 2016 fire, and 2020 pandemic response. In private practice I work with all facilities that fall under the Public Health Act of Alberta, and the Tobacco Smoking and Vaping Reduction Act. References available upon request.
